First and foremost, AndiSites builds websites that are clean, simple, and friendly (to users and search engines).

AndiSites can build a site for you from materials you provide, or revamp your current site. We can also start from scratch, including logo creation, graphic design, copywriting, and photo and video editing. If uniqueness isn’t essential to you, Andi can customize templates you purchase elsewhere. We also provide web development, including database-driven elements and custom Content Management Systems, both in-house and through our partner Zen Web Guru. Andi can even incorporate Google Analytics into your site so you can find out how often it’s being visited, who’s visiting, how long they stay, and what parts they like best.

Finally, in the spirit of true one-stop-shopping, AndiSites provides domain names, hosting, and maintenance services, making your overall experience simple, quick, and easy.

If you’re starting from scratch (oh boy, a blank slate!), here are the basic steps:

You get an general idea of what kind of site you’d like. Clean and simple, or lots of graphics? Just the basics, or a complete showcase? Many pages, or just a few? Database-driven elements? A Content Management System?  Do you want control over just the text, text & photos, or more? Take some notes, and visit as many sites as you can for inspiration (including your competitors’ sites). Note the addresses of those sites and what in particular you like about them.

Contact us, describing your project and what you have in mind (including info on other sites you like). Andi will get back to you soon, ask some questions, and get you a quote (see our web design/redesign pricing page for ballparks). She’ll also give you some general thoughts and recommendations for your site based on what you’ve told her.

Once the quote is approved and agreements are signed, AndiSites builds your site. Expect some conversations and/or meetings while we pick your brain and get our heads around the project. Together we’ll need to:

• Identify your goals (what do you want to accomplish with your website?)
• Select and register a suitable domain name and arrange for hosting (we’re also a domain registrar and web host, so that part’s easy)
• Determine the structure of the site (how many pages, how they link together, etc.)
• Figure out what elements should be included in the site (text pages, galleries, slide shows, mailing list signups, blogs, shopping carts, etc.)
• Choose the basic design elements, including layout (how many columns, vertical vs. horizontal, etc.), a color palette, and appropriate graphics (including securing or verifying rights to materials, if necessary)
• Decide on navigation (across the top, down the side, or something more unique)
• Collect all content for the site (believe it or not, this is where the process usually bogs down, so be sure to send us stuff early and often); convert content to Web-ready format if necessary

AndiSites will give you up to three design concepts and two revision cycles as part of the process: You choose a concept, and we run with it, making whatever adjustments you’d like, ultimately resulting in a complete site for review. We’ll post the draft site on our testing server so you can review it “live”.  If you’ve included database-driven elements and/or a Content Management System, we teach you how to use them. You test-drive and review, make lots of notes, and let us know what revisions you’d like (in the meantime, we’ll be debugging the site from a technical standpoint and adding search optimization elements). We make the revisions…then we go through the whole process again. You review, we revise…and then we should be ready to go! Once the site is finalized, we’ll post it to your domain name, and you can start reaping the benefits.
