A dynamic redesign with custom Content Management System for a mathematical data modeling/systems dynamics company in Harvard, MA. The client’s old site was outdated and difficult to navigate. It also no longer reflected the direction that the company’s work was taking. We worked with the client to develop a new online “brand,” including an updated palette, intuitive navigation and organization, and the use of photographs. We also built it entirely in PHP so that all content could be controlled dynamically. We created a custom Content Management System back-end, hooked into a MySQL database, that allows the client to enter and edit content at any time (including adding photos, related files, research examples, etc.). All content on the site, from the company description to the work examples, is driven by the CMS. The client can select what content appears on the front page of the site by noting it as “Featured” in the CMS, and they can enter “factoids” that will alternate with each page reload. This client’s main products are their research and mathematical models; now their site allows them to present their world-changing wizardry in a way that’s easy, pleasing, and entirely under their control.
Site built using XHTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and Fireworks
“Working with AndiSites was a joy. After our first conversation, they provided a thorough and comprehensible proposal within hours, a skeletal site for us to learn with and populate within days, and a finished site within two weeks. The site met every criteria we had for presenting elements of our story in different combinations, including easy-to-use tools for us to keep the content current. Along the way, communications from Andrea and her colleagues were consistently timely, concise, responsive, and relaxed. We couldn’t be happier with the process or the resulting product.” — Dan Goldner, Ventana Systems, Inc.
